This course introduces the student to essential concepts of Homeland Security and principles of all-hazards risk management. It emphasizes understanding (1) the right balance among different hazards in mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery; (2) the impacts of illegal and legal immigration on the economic and social stability of our communities; and (3) the emergence and evolving threats in cybersecurity, averting cybercrime, and shielding critical infrastructure.
