This course is intended to prepare students to undertake substantiated, rigorous, scholarly research, particularly theses or dissertations. The course will focus on the approaches necessary to integrate research intent, techniques and constraints. A variety of research approaches will be investigated. Emphasis will be placed on problem formulation, literature review, proposal preparation, oral presentation, experimentation and accepted canons of research. Knowledge of probability and statistics
